This site has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising. Here is what it does with the information you might give it.

News subscription

If you subscribe by email, your address is stored in a newsletter system (Listmonk) on a server operated for this site. It is used only to send you Open EdTech news posts. Every email includes an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing removes your address from the list. Emails are delivered through Mailgun, which processes the address in order to send the message.

Subscribing requires confirming your address by clicking a link in an email, so no one can subscribe you without your agreement.

Contact form

Messages sent through the contact form are relayed by email via Mailgun. Your name, email address and message are used only to read and reply to your message. They are not stored on this site.

Server logs

The web server keeps ordinary access logs, including IP addresses, for a short period for security and fault-finding. They are not used for tracking.

Other services

The Matrix room and the Mastodon account are run on openedtech.social. Joining either is governed by that service's own terms. Links to other websites are subject to those sites' policies.
